For me, they worked well on leg stubble, letting me smooth things out without going through the whole production of a shower. They didn't work as well on my bikini zone or underarms; I had to make many passes with the pad to see results in those areas where my hair is coarser, and it just felt like way more work than shaving would be.
Added perk: My legs are super dry, and the Smooth Away pads are excellent for exfoliating away dull flakiness. You just have to be careful not to overdo the rubbing, or your skin can end up red and irritated.
The clincher: I'd definitely recommend buying the pads in a store so you don't get dinged on shipping which can make the pads even more expensive than those outrageously priced razor blades we've vented about.
Also, I found that my stubble reappeared at about the same rate it does with shaving, and that a large pad lasted for about two full leg "shaves" before losing effectiveness. My legs were smooth and soft, but the next time I used them, they did nothing Oh well. My legs are hairless and silky I have a lot of extra body hair, and shaving doesn't do anything to help that. Creams smells, and waxing hurts, so I turned to the Smooth Away pads.
